YOU CAN TILT THE EARTH

it feels like summer in my spirit
like walking down wilson
over the river
and everything is the way it was
a longer time ago
a simpler time

just visiting here
gives me perspective
far away from the billboards and oxygen tanks
for a gentle moment
I become unstuck from fate
a point jumping free of a line

so I write this to remember
that even in november’s depths
I’m just as close to the sun
as I ever was
as I’ve ever been
