4:04pm. Just began work on the music for Famous Bones. Pretty happy with this even though it’s very rough. Not bad for 3 hours work.

6:41pm. Just sang some very rough vocals (which you’re not going to hear) and came up with a pretty fun lyric for the chorus. Here are the lyrics as they stand after crafting them into the music:

FAMOUS BONES

winding our way through Père Lachaise
plotting out the numerous ways
to beat the system

row after row of names and tomes
and the stream of mecs that miss ’em
couldn’t beat the system

back at our nest in the 19th
with photographs and string…

we’ll pick you up wherever you went down
if you’re outta cool you should do it now (it’s happening)
we’ll pick you up wherever you went down
can never say if only i had known

hop the 7th from Crimée
through parks we lurk
discovering notes in Côtes du Rhône
to crack the network

row after row, the gardens grow
and bits of data glisten
the underground is yours if you just listen

and at the end of the day
we hang with Fehrat at Café Urbain

we’ll pick you up wherever you went down
if you’re outta cool you should do it now (it’s happening)
we’ll pick you up wherever you went down
can never say if only I had known

BRIDGE [under construction]

we’ll pick you up wherever you went down
if you’re outta cool you should do it now (this is happening)
we’ll pick you up wherever you went down
can never say if only I had known

I feel I’ve done enough singing for my downstairs neighbor tonight. I’ll go ahead and work more on the music (like, add a bass line) and knock the rest of this out tomorrow. This song is turning out to be a cool mix of yacht rock and 2017 pop hits. I guess that exercise had an effect on me. See ya tomorrow!
