Back In Time: Lost Hits of the 80’s

Last year, my friend Dan Pavelich invited me to record a song for his Back In Time project. The idea is for bands and artists to create a song that sounds like it was recorded in the 1980’s, then come up with a fictional band name to go along with the track.

I immediately started downloading vintage sounds, including the factory samples from the legendary Fairlight CMI, and the Roland CR-78 drum machine. I got to recording, and came up with a song called “Wiggle” which I decided to release under the nom-de-record of “Halliday’s Dream” (a meta-retro 80’s reference in its own right).

14 other artists also recorded tracks for this project and it has just been released as a “pay what you want” download on Bandcamp. Best part of all is that 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research.

Enjoy some really creative & cool music while supporting a great cause. Download the compilation today.
